Why Hair Loss Supplements Are Better Than Hair Transplants

We all understand that hair loss is a serious issue and sometimes, we are too tired to wait for our hair to grow back.

We couldn’t wait, and we start listening to people saying that hair transplants work like magic; you just pluck a healthy scalp from a healthy donor, attach it onto yours, and you’ll get your (not your hair per se, but since it’s already in your head now) hair back! But, is it true?

Is hair transplant really as nice and effective as people say it is?

Here’s what it is and what entails to hair transplants.

The procedure of hair transplant has gotten better through the decades, with new technologies and techniques being invented.

The newest technique is FUE; follicular unit extraction is an invasive procedure where scalps are removed carefully from the donor and is attached to the receiver.

The idea is that within 24 to 48 hours of the surgical procedure, the patient can go on to his or her daily life the very next day and expect results within weeks or months.

Here’s the problem.

No surgical procedure is completely perfect. Experts from US National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health have published their research on Journal of Cutaneous and Aesthetic Surgery that FUE has some side effects that often are misunderstood by people.

1. You can die from a hair transplant. A doctor from Realself explains that various risks such as infection, swelling and even necrosis of your tissues can lead to death and it has happened before.

2. There’s always a scar left. The surgical procedure does not leave a visible scar with long enough hair, but with short hair, it is visible.

3. It is a pretty invasive surgical procedure. You dug out thousands of follicles and made holes in your head; you are going to need to cover that up, how is that not invasive.

4. It’s not a permanent solution, sometimes, the hair from transplantation stops growing and falls off, and this time, it will be a permanent cause with possibly no solution.

5. It is irreversible. Once you do it, there’s no turning back. There’s also a chance that it will look unnatural even after paying thousands of dollars.

This is not implying that hair transplant is a dangerous surgical method that should be ban because it kills the patients, but you need to reconsider as these all risks are possible, no matter how small, to every each of the patients.

It is important to remember that the results that doctors show to you are not the usual results; they took the best shot they have and show it to you, marketing purposes.

Hair loss supplements, on the other hand, pose little to zero risks. A completely natural supplement out there exists, and their natural composition supports your body in fixing its body parts.

The worst you can get is it doesn’t fix your problem, and all you need to do is leave the product and move on to another.

Hair loss supplements will fix your hair loss issue, though not 100%. Don’t let that disheartened you; inputting the right supplements into your diet can help your hair grow to a certain level.

Though not an instant solution, it is a natural, permanent solution when you keep your diet in check.

For example, Vitamin C helps in forming collagen, an important part of forming your hair structure. Collagen strengthens your hair and keeps the holding on each other instead of breaking and falling apart.

Aside from that vitamin C also improves your skin, nail strength, and health in general.

Another example is biotin. Most people with no special medical condition can consume biotin with no worries as mentioned by Healthline.

A 2015 study showed that consuming biotin supplements improves keratin in your hair and in the long run, reduces baldness and hair falls.

Minoxidil is the recently found ingredients to have prevented hair loss. It doesn’t fix what’s lost, but it helps slow down and prevent further damage to your hair.

According to WebMD, there has been no major side effects shown and discovered except for allergic reactions.

And there are many more ingredients and vitamins you can rely on, without having to ‘injure’ your scalp to reduce the baldness.

The instant remedy is never without bigger side effects. Opting for a less, actually, zero invasive option is safer and healthier for you both in the short-term and long-term.

The result is always visible and not only that; you can always opt for a different type of supplement if you find one unsatisfactory.
